Is it true that if you put badminton shuttlecocks in the refrigerator they'll be more durable?

my teacher in PE adviced me that.|||I don't know. I think cold makes plastics and rubber more brittle so I would think it would be LESS durable.|||Ive never heard of that saying myself, but who knows it could work fine.
